Virtual Author Event with Alex Giardino & Michael Genhart.

Join us for a book launch celebration with local children’s picture book authors Alex Giardino & Michael Genhart.

Their two new books are “music to the ears” -- THE GOOD SONG by Alex Giardino is inspired by "Somewhere over the Rainbow" and "What A wonderful World". ACCORDIONLY: ABUELO & OPA MAKE MUSIC by Michael Genhart is a charming story about cultures and families coming together through music.

Featuring sing-along music for all! Tim McCanna joins us to play the accordion and Ana and Audrey Murguia will play the ukulele for us!

Virtual Author Event with Jennifer Risher

mail.jpg

Virtual Author Event with San Francisco author Jennifer Risher who is celebrating the launch of her first book We Need to Talk: A Memoir About Wealth.

This is a heartfelt and honest look at the pitfalls of having a lot of money. (Pitfalls?! Yes). There are of course many advantages to being wealthy, but also challenges. As Jen’s memoir illustrates, it can positively and/or negatively impact everything in your life. After wrestling with their own wealth and finishing the book, Jen (with her husband) started #HalfMyDAF – a Donor Advised Fund. As of July 15th, they had completed their first round of matching grants: $600,000 to over 140 non-profits.

They also run Worldreader – a non-profit that distributes millions of books to developing countries worldwide to ensure everyone knows how to read.

The author and her new book were recently written up in the New York Times:

Four Questions to Help Demystify Your Relationship With Money

MEET OUR NEW ARTIST "in residence"!

In our ongoing attempt to showcase local artists - which was been somewhat ambushed by that COVID-thing -- we are delighted to now have the work of ICB artist Eric von Berg on our gallery wall.

Eric, an accomplished genre, landscape & portrait artist, was born and raised in northern California. His painting is a nod to modern realism and all of the iconic vistas in his vertical landscape series of San Francisco and Sausalito are ones you will recognize. Original work, archival prints and posters of the work are all available.

Author Event Commemorating the 76th Anniversary of D-Day2

mail.jpg

Join local author Ciji Ware (Landing by Moonlight 2019) to learn about the D-Day no one knows about or remembers (South of France August 15, 1944). She will be leading a riveting discussion with other authors who have recently written about WWII. Discussion topics will include: lesser known historical facts about this pivotal event in world history; the role of the unsung heroes and heroines; theories on how the war really ended. Authors will also offer insights into the bevy of current books on WWII that have emerged since 1995, when archives, secret files and classified information were released. This included information about clandestine intelligence agencies, the unsung roles of women, minorities, and other patriots to the Allied cause whose names we didn’t know –until now. Special Guests announced soon!
