Join local author Ciji Ware (Landing by Moonlight 2019) to learn about the D-Day no one knows about or remembers (South of France August 15, 1944). She will be leading a riveting discussion with other authors who have recently written about WWII. Discussion topics will include: lesser known historical facts about this pivotal event in world history; the role of the unsung heroes and heroines; theories on how the war really ended. Authors will also offer insights into the bevy of current books on WWII that have emerged since 1995, when archives, secret files and classified information were released. This included information about clandestine intelligence agencies, the unsung roles of women, minorities, and other patriots to the Allied cause whose names we didn’t know –until now.
